Matt has over 20 years of experience in the logistics and fulfilment fields. After leaving the Army in 2004, he joined IKEA and started working on the sales floor. Since then, he has held multiple roles at the store, national, and global level to include five years in Sweden.
In 2017, IKEA US began to expand their retail base beyond traditional “cash and carry”, brick & mortar sales to include eCommerce.
In his role, Matt is responsible for leading the process transformation in all IKEA stores to integrate the retail units into a true omnichannel fulfilment network. This includes the introduction of services such as buy online pick up in store, direct home delivery from the storefront, and more.
His commitment to developing people and competence led to the creation of training and work processes to support the upskilling and reskilling of co-workers, leaders, and managers.
Matt currently lives outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with his wife and their dog. He enjoys travel and home brewing.
